Conference in June focusing on the urbanization of the Oldenburg Monarchy.
Although the relations between individual parts of the Oldenburg Monarchy have often been studied, a general view of the monarchy is still lacking, in which all parts of the monarchy are considered (Denmark, Norway, Schleswig-Holstein, Faroe Isles, Iceland, Greenland, and the tropical colonies, the Gold Coast/Ghana, Tranquebar and Serampore (India) and the Virgin Islands).
This conference in Oslo will focus on the urbanization of the Oldenburg Monarchy 1500-1800. Researchers from different parts of the former commonwealth will give presentations.
Lysebu, Danish Institute, Oslo, June 14th and 15th, 2011.
