Centre director becomes city archivist

The director of The Danish Centre for Urban History, Søren Bitsch Christensen, will on 1 August start in a new job as director of Aarhus City Archives.

After 10 years as centre director Søren Bitsch Christensen will become the first director of Aarhus City Archives (Aarhus Stadsarkiv). Aarhus City Archives is a new institution that will collect administrative documents from Aarhus Municipality and documents of local historical interest from Aarhus city.

After 1 August the position as centre director will be vacant for some time, but it is the plan to later reoccupy the position after a job posting.
